Fishing Trip turns more into a Photography Trip

Last week I went to fish the Frankfort pier before I met up with a buddy at another river. I stopped by the Betsie river mouth to see what the fuss was about. I go into more detail about that here if interested:

After that, I went to fish the Frankfort pier. I talked to a guy coming off the pier with a fish in the net. I was pretty excited to get out there. As I was walking out there, I notice the wind blowing big time from the west. I started to wonder if it was even worth it. After one cast with a spoon I realized I was wasting my time. I ended up pulling out the Nikon and shooting some pictures.

That night I met up with a buddy and hit a river I have always wanted to fish. We started off in the upper river with little to show for. We were fishing for Silvers. I noticed that these fish do not like to stay still at all. We had to chase them basically the whole time. We then decided to put the drifter in and see if we could find some unmolested fish. We definitely found some fish but they had very little interest what we had to throw at them. We both still ended up with a fish.

I want to thank my buddy Neeson for the drift boat ride. The river was definitely a pretty one.
